Lake Erie Day Trip

Erie Pennsylvania.. is absolutely GORGEOUS!

This post is late but I went to Lake Erie (on the Pennsylvania side) on September 19th. There are three things I decided to do on this solo trip I took:

• Presque Isle State Park
• Presque Isle Light House
• Victorian Princess Cruise

Presque Isle State Park

Presque Isle State Park was so peaceful and quiet. It was such a beautiful day out and just walking around out in nature with the bay on one side and the Erie beaches on the other was so serene. I truly enjoyed walking around getting some exercise and just enjoying the view. The weather was cool and was just absolutely perfect. I absolutely adore the cooler weather. Below is a beautiful little flower I saw while walking along the trails and a smaller lighthouse on the Presque Isle Bay.

Presque Isle Lighthouse

The light house on Presque Isle was amazing. So full of history, the house attached to it was gorgeous to walk through. It is crazy to think that people actually lived there before and that someone went and manned the lighthouse every night as their job. The view from the top was absolutely stunning. Overlooking the lake and the beach it was breathtaking. The stairs up to the top were also breath taking but I may just be out of shape… Below are some pictures I took at the lighthouse and by the lake after visiting the light house. The lake was also really nice. I put my feet in the really cold water but it was refreshing. I would love to go back during the summer time and have an actual beach day there!

Victorian Princess Cruise

The end of my day was on a two hour cruise on the Victorian Princess. It was a fun time! It was a cruise on the bay and the theme of the cruise was ladies only. At first I felt a bit awkward being there alone seeing others in groups together but I ended up spending time with this really nice group of ladies. It was a mom and her two daughters and they were such a blast to spend time with and they were from Erie so it was nice to learn more about Erie from them. I also tried my first mimosa and it honestly was really good and I got it for free on this cruise! The views were great and there were so many boats out on the bay with us and it was so relaxing. Below is a picture of some of the boats but it does not do it justice with how many there were.

Overall

Overall this solo trip I took to Lake Erie/Erie, PA was a wonderful and relaxing trip. Erie, I will definitely be back to explore some more!
